Social Responsibility
The Social Responsibility Initiatives Program works to enhance the university’s responsibilities towards its counterparts. A program was designed within the framework of social responsibility to take advantage of the intellectual talents and social potential of the university’s minds to improve the quality of life of individuals and groups within the university community and even beyond its borders to reach all countries of the Arab world.
The Social Responsibility Department focuses on meeting the immediate needs of multiple cities in terms of education, the economy, and the environment by providing sustainable support, The knowledge and resources necessary for the life of individuals and groups.
Program topics
The Smart University of Science and Technology’s approach to social responsibility programs includes the following “pillars”:
- Self-paced programs: such as special recurring events, Which is repeated annually and is available to the entire university community. Self-paced programs play a key role in creating a culture of inclusion as we celebrate members of our diverse community and their contributions to social responsibility through civic engagement.
- Family of Programs: Long-term, replicable projects aimed at meeting the ongoing needs of the community. These programs are essential for building capacity, providing economic opportunities, and promoting sustainable daily practices.
- Community-based programs: short-term initiatives or initiatives designed to meet immediate needs and unplanned needs.
- The university’s volunteer program: It is the main driver of the programmatic strategy of social responsibility towards achieving success. The university’s volunteer program brings together members of the entire university community through social and civic participation.
